Hydraulic tank oil pipe joint welding techniques

Hydraulic systems have strict sealing requirements. Three preparations are necessary before welding:
Joint Treatment: Remove the oxide layer from the oil pipe and joint surfaces using specialized tools to ensure the natural metal is exposed.
Gap Control: Allow a 0.5-1mm expansion gap to prevent cracking due to thermal deformation.
Gas Protection: Purge residual hydraulic oil in the pipeline with inert gas beforehand.
Different welding methods can be selected depending on the working conditions:
Pulse Arc Welding: Suitable for thin-walled oil pipes; intermittent current reduces the heat-affected zone.
Laser Filler Wire Welding: High precision; welding wire compensates for material loss, resulting in minimal deformation.
Bragging Process: Low-temperature connection; uses copper-based solder to avoid changes in the base material properties.
After welding, a triple inspection is recommended:
Visual Inspection: Observe whether the weld exhibits a uniform fish-scale pattern.
Penetration Testing: Use a dye to check for micron-level cracks.
Pressure Test: Maintain pressure at 1.5 times the working pressure for 10 minutes; no leakage is required.
